Terms of Service

These terms govern your use of THE_PROJECT ("the service"). By creating an account you agree to these terms. If you do not agree, do not use the service.

What the service is

THE_PROJECT is a neutral connection platform. We allow people with a genuine connection to the same Australian residential property to connect privately and chat. We do not publish reviews, ratings, star scores, or public profiles of any kind.

Eligibility

You must be at least 18 years old and located in Australia to use the service.

Acceptable use

You must not:

• Register a connection to a property you have no genuine connection to
• Harass, threaten, or abuse any person through the service
• Share or solicit personal contact details, social media handles, or government identifiers
• Impersonate another person or entity
• Use the service for commercial solicitation without our written permission
• Attempt to circumvent rate limiting, authentication, or other security controls
• Scrape, crawl, or systematically extract data from the service

Your content

You are responsible for every message you send. THE_PROJECT does not review messages before delivery. We may review reported messages to enforce these terms. You retain ownership of your content; by using the service you grant us a limited licence to store and transmit it to the intended recipient.

Takedown requests

We respond to legitimate takedown requests within 48 hours. A takedown request may ask us to close a conversation, remove a connection record, or suspend an account. Submit requests via the contact page.

Account suspension

We may suspend or terminate your account without notice if we determine you have breached these terms. We will attempt to notify you by email after the fact unless doing so would undermine an ongoing investigation.

No warranty

The service is provided "as is" without warranty of any kind. We do not warrant the accuracy of any information provided by other users. We are not liable for the content of private conversations or for decisions made on the basis of them.

Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by Australian law, THE_PROJECT is not liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential loss arising from your use of the service. Our liability for direct loss is limited to AUD $100 or the amount you paid us in the 12 months before the claim, whichever is greater.

Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of Victoria, Australia. Disputes are subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of Victoria.

Changes to these terms

We will notify registered users of material changes by email at least 14 days before they take effect. Continued use after the effective date constitutes acceptance.
